Cookies and local storage are different
Cookies are small records that browsers can send with web requests. Local storage is a browser facility that keeps a value for a website on your device without automatically attaching it to every request. Both deserve clear explanation when used.
The site's own code does not set HTTP cookies or use optional advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking. It uses local storage only when you save a preference using the controls below. Accepting does not activate any additional tracking in this version of the site.
What is saved?
| Key | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| wondergadgetjlt-cookie-choice | Stores “accepted” or “essential” after your explicit selection | Until replaced, cleared by you or removed by your browser |
This value is not a visitor identifier and is not transmitted by the preference script. It is specific to this browser and site origin, so another device or browser may have a different setting. Private browsing and storage restrictions can prevent persistence.
Your preference
You can replace your saved choice at any time. Both options leave optional tracking off because no such tracking is included.
No optional tracking is used. Enable JavaScript to save a preference.
Other local actions
The contact writing tool holds a draft in the current page, not in local storage. Copying uses your clipboard with browser permission. Downloading creates a text file on your device. Neither action creates a tracking cookie or sends the note to us.
Managing storage yourself
Your browser's site-data settings can remove this site's local storage. Blocking storage does not prevent reading the articles, but a preference may not be remembered. Removing site data is separate from deleting downloaded notes or clearing your clipboard.
External services and questions
